Candy Cane Covers Instructions By Sew Weird Designs

NOTE: Color stops that show on your machine will not match the color chart. I had to use different colors to stop the machine between processes. Please follow the above color chart


1.Hoop- Hoop stabilizer, lay fabric on top of hoop as shown. Stitch #1 to secure fabric to stabilizer.


2. Place- Sew #2 for face material placement


3.Secure - Lay face fabric (felt) over placement stitch sew #3.


4.Trim- Trim top of felt close to stitching, Trim bottom edge trimming both felt and fabric close to stitching.

5. Sew- Sew all but the last color (white). Stop remove frame from machine but not design from hoop. NOTE: If you want to add names you should do this before you remove from hoop.

6. Back- Place back piece of fabric with right side down. Fold over edge using spray adhesive. Line bottom edge to bottom of design. You do not have to fold over if using felt or fleece.

7. Cut- Remove design from hoop cut into strips.

8. Fringe- Cut bobbin thread of fringe.


9. Cut- Remove excess stabilizer to make it easier to turn.


10. Turn- Use the eraser end of a pencil to turn by pushing the end back through the opening.

11.Finish- Place on candy cane. Pull the fringe out.
