GREAT Wedding gift!
7 Kitchen Towels 2 Pillow cases

This set of designs is from a old vintage pattern for applique. To keep with the vintage look there is not a satin stitch to cover the fabric edges.

You can sew them as applique or color line work.

Applique

Use tearaway stabilizer. If sewing on pile type fabric use a water soluble top stabilizer also.

To sew as applique, follow color chart. A placement stitch will sew first to show you where to place the fabric. Place fabric over placement stitching. Sew the next color then trim fabric close to stitching. Once finished go around stitching and edges with fabric glue. You can also use fusible web such as Pellon Wonder Under on the applique fabric and iron after stitching. If using fabric with a stretch like waffle fabric use a cutaway stabilizer under the applique fabric.
